PITTSBURGH-Schlumberger Resource Management Services Inc. won a contract to supply an advanced meter reading solution to the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority.
The product will provide fixed-network automated meter reading services to about 83,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers across Pittsburgh Water’s entire service area, said Schlumberger. The system will allow the company to access customer water usage information, such as monthly consumption data, on-request reads, real-time theft notification and other value-added data.
CellNet Data Systems Inc. also is participating in the project.
