STC CREATES METHOD FOR UNIVERSAL PAYMENT ON PREPAID

WETHERSFIELD, Conn.-Shared Technologies Cellular Inc. announced its CellEase program has evolved into a universal payment method for prepaid wireless services.

As a central payment and card redemption system, CellEase enables customers of various service providers to replenish their usage with any card bearing the CellEase logo, said STC.

“Until now, cellular customers had to accept that their prepaid phones would only work with a particular provider’s card, and that those usage cards could only be purchased at that provider’s store,” said Anthony D. Autorino, STC chairman and chief executive officer. “CellEase is not only carrier and technology independent, but also one of the most extensive nationwide replenishment systems in the industry.”

Autorino said more than 55,000 retail outlets across the country sell CellEase prepaid cards. Virginia-based @Call Inc. recently became STC’s newest CellEase distributor.
