ZURICH, Switzerland-SoftWired Inc. unveiled its range of iBus//Mobile products for cellular phones, wireless personal information managers, notebooks and personal digital assistants, enabling wireless devices running PalmOS, Symbian or Windows CE to perform e-commerce transactions with reliability and security.
SoftWired said this is possible through an embedded database on the mobile device that stores a queue of uncommitted e-commerce transactions until the e-commerce server has processed them.
SoftWired also said the new offering can leverage the value of Wireless Application Protocol, short message service, Bluetooth and General Packet Radio Service by permitting Java applications to exchange information through any of those technologies.
