DENVER, United States-Rumors that Deutsche Telekom was preparing a US$32 billion offer to acquire U.S. GSM carrier VoiceStream Wireless circulated at press time.
DT has been hunting for U.S. acquisitions and has been linked to a number of possible purchases, including Sprint. VoiceStream has reportedly expressed its willingness toward a takeover that valued it at US$200 a share, the Financial Times reported. VoiceStream has been rumored to also be in talks with Japan’s DoCoMo.
