OKLAHOMA CITY—Dobson Communications Corp. added 41,500 net wireless subscribers during the third quarter, compared with 30,300 net additions last year, ending the quarter with 1.05 million wireless customers. Customer churn increased slightly from 1.8 percent the previous quarter to 1.9 percent, while average revenue per user increased $1 to $43.
Total revenues increased from $143 million last year to $184.3 million, with net losses increasing from $44 million, or 47 cents per share, to $45.3 million, or 48 cents per share.
Dobson also announced it was not longer considering selling the company due to declining industry valuations over the previous two months and declining conditions on bank and capital markets.
