BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Verizon Wireless launched wireless alerts service for its Mobile Web and Mobile Messenger customers, allowing them to receive scores during the college football bowl season.
The service, powered by InfoSpace Inc., allows subscribers to choose to receive scores at the end of the game or at the end of every quarter, as well as weather reports in cities where bowl games are played. Customers who have signed up for the carrier’s Mobile Web service will have alerts count against their monthly alert bundle.
