PETAH TIKVA, Israel—Israeli vendor InnoWave ECI Wireless Systems announced two contract wins in Africa.
The first contract, with Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation, will provide fixed wireless access in the 3.5 GHz band and will cover mountainous areas surrounding the capital of Mbabane. The first phase is targeted for completion by March, with nine base stations and 2,000 initial lines.
The second contract is with Telkom South Africa to provide fixed wireless access services throughout South Africa. The system will operate in the 1.9 GHz band.
The value of the contracts was not disclosed.
