NEW YORK-Lucent Technologies Inc., Murray Hill, N.J., has completed the successful seamless hand-off of a wireless data call from an 802.11 wireless local area network to a third-generation UMTS network, the company said Sept. 18.
Lucent also has demonstrated seamless roaming capabilities between Wi-Fi and 3G cdma2000 wireless networks.
