Emerson Network Power to offer carriers tower support services

NEW ORLEANS-Emerson Network Power Global Services, a division of Emerson Network Power, will formally announce the launch of Total Wireless Tower & Cell Site Service Solutions, at this week’s Tower Summit & Trade Show in New Orleans.

Total Wireless Tower & Cell Site Service Solutions will include: technicians and service partners, emergency response services, constant remote monitoring, AC uninterruptible power supply service, DC power plant/rectifier maintenance and DC battery maintenance, surge suppression/PPC, battery replacement and transfer switch maintenance, generator maintenance and air service, fire suppression and security, site and building maintenance, grounding audits, tower RF sweeping and power quality audits.

Emerson said its research shows that although tower owners handle general maintenance of entire towers, carriers still service their own equipment at their individual cell sites on the towers-an activity carriers would prefer to outsource. Acting on carrier interest in outsourcing all but the core business of delivering voice and data services, Emerson is marketing its new services, which offer a single point of contact for all post-installation cell services, directly to carriers. Emerson also said it will try to market through the tower owners and operators by offering its new maintenance services to all of the carriers co-located on one tower site.

Other divisions of Emerson Network Power are separately set to make announcements at the tower show this week. Engineered Endeavors Inc. will unveil its latest concealment solution, the ClearPath Panel system, which offers rooftop panels that camouflage antenna systems and power supplies. Northern Technologies Inc. will introduce new power enclosures designed to extend the life of microwave systems, radio equipment, DC power systems and other critical components at tower locations. Finally, Liebert Corp. will release two new rack-sized products for protecting critical wireless and remote cell site systems, the UPStation GXT5000R-208 and the 3U MicroPOD maintenance bypass.
