SEATTLE-Although the economy continues to struggle along, funding seems to be persisting as two wireless data companies announced new financing.
First, NetMotion Wireless Inc. said it closed its Series B funding with a total round of $10.8 million. The round included Dolphin Equity Partners, Mitsui & Co. Venture Partners and Northwest Venture Associates.
The company makes software that ensures wireless networks operate as effectively as wired networks, without interruption and with secure access to enterprise data.
Separately, NearSpace reported $1.5 million in funding. The company offers business-oriented, location-centric applications to the Web and personal digital assistants.
