CANNES, France-Emblaze Systems, which develops customized services and technologies for wireless carriers, will join Micorsoft, Nortel, LG and others to demonstrate third-generation (3G) technologies for mobile carriers at this year’s 3GSM World Congress in Cannes. Emblaze will demonstrate:
- Microsoft Internet content, including movie trailers and video music clips, on the Nokia 7650 rich-media handset;
- High-quality video across a UMTS network on LG’s 8000 handheld device;
- How video content is transformed into wireless multimedia messaging services;
- How carriers can customize content for subscribers and how subscribers can access and personalize content via a Web portal. Personalized services will be featured on Wind Telecommunicazioni and Orange Communications networks;
- The Emblaze “backend” management system tool that enables operators to manage various subscriber services;
- And third-party application providers DAG and Eurofun will show rich media applications they are developing for wireless carriers and subscribers.
