TEL AVIV, Israel-Wireless broadband solution provider Alvarion Ltd. said France Telecom will trial its broadband wireless DSL solution as part of an initiative to offer broadband Internet access to 95 percent of France’s population by 2005. The carrier plans to offer demonstrations of broadband wireless services to consumers this summer and to initiate trials in September. “Cutting-edge wireless technologies, such as Alvarion’s robust solutions, will make it possible for us to bring affordable wireless DSL to new areas,” said Valerie Martin, director of France Telecom’s R&D laboratory.
