SCHAUMBURG, Ill-For the first time since 1959 when it built its first chip plant, Motorola Inc. has lost its place among the elite chip makers, dropping out of the top 10, according to an IC Insights report on the space.
“Motorola has been a fixture in the listing of top 10 semiconductor suppliers ever since the ranking was first compiled,” said IC Insights.
