TelASIC chip works on all major standards

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.-TelASIC Communications said it has rolled out what it calls the world’s first cost-effective wideband radio chipset, baseFlex, which supports major standards, including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, IS-95, CDMA, W-CDMA, CDMA2000 and North American TDMA.

“The combination of data converters and our fully programmable tuner delivers the wideband radio architecture that allows base station designers to build a truly universal base station platform that produces both immediate and long-term product portfolio benefits,” said Tony Giraudo, president and chief executive officer of the company.
