LOS ANGELES-HeyAnita Inc. released Rapid Message Service (RMS), a solution that allows wireless users to send voice messages across carrier networks, regardless of handset technology, without actually ringing the phone of the person they are calling.
RMS is similar to text messaging in that it allows wireless users to instantaneously send messages, but it eliminates the need to type messages on a phone’s keypad. The service also integrates data and voice technologies, driving dual-revenue streams for carriers, according to HeyAnita. The product is offered to wireless carriers as either a fully hosted or in-network solution.
“RMS meets the immediate needs of wireless carriers, because it can be used by their entire subscriber base today, not after they trade up to next-generation handsets in a few years,” said Sanjeev Kuwadekar, chief executive officer of HeyAnita.
