Blue Frog croaks : Content firm files for bankruptcy

Blue Frog Mobile Inc. may have uttered its last “ribbit.”
The Seattle-based interactive TV firm filed for bankruptcy last week under Chapter 7, signaling its intention to sell off its assets. The company claimed liabilities of less than $1 million and assets of between $1 million and $10 million according to the filing, which was initially reported by seattlepi.com.
Founded in 2004, Blue Frog gained attention several years ago as a content vendor, and banked $16 million in financing in 2005. But the company failed to gain traction with its text-to-TV technology after abandoning its content business.
Calls to Blue Frog’s Seattle offices indicate the company’s phone service has been turned off.
