Blyk, the mobile messaging media company, announces it has extended its relationship with Orange UK. Blyk has been appointed to manage all elements of the operator’s media sales program, and support the company’s commercial ambitions in developing advertising revenues from its successful “Orange Shots” service. Blyk has worked with Orange since 2007 and extended that relationship by exclusively providing its Blyk media service in 2009. More recently Blyk has secured its position as a commercial partner of Orange providing strategic support for the creation, deployment and on-going management of the operators media and advertising messaging propositions.

The IBM mCommerce Appliance Solution is aimed at financial institutions, mobile operators and enterprises. The IBM mCommerce Appliance Solution, the industry’s first integrated mCommerce solution, can also help customers to run smart banking business applications from mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones powered by iOS, Blackberry and Android operating systems.
Internet2, Indiana University and the Clean Slate Program at Stanford University have announced the Network Development and Deployment Initiative (“NDDI”), a partnership to create a new network platform and complementary software, which together will support global scientific research in a revolutionary new way. Through substantial investments by each of the partners, the NDDI will yield a new Internet2 service called the Open Science, Scholarship and Services Exchange (OS3E). OS3E and NDDI capabilities will be developed and interconnected with links to Europe, Canada, South America and Asia through coordinating international partners like CANARIE in Canada, GEANT in Europe, JGNX in Japan and RNP in Brazil with additional service partners to be identified.
