NEW YORK-PlayTV and Pixel Technologies are joining forces to target emerging entertainment platforms such as mobile devices and interactive TV.
PlayTV, a publisher of games and services for the digital set-top box, said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire cross-platform technology company Pixel Technologies. The new company, PixelPlay Inc., will use funding from unnamed institutional investors to develop and distribute content for broadband, interactive TV and mobile use.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
