RICHMOND, Va.-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. expanded service to western, central and southern Virginia, including the markets of Norfolk, Richmond and Roanoke.
The nation’s largest carrier added former customers of regional carrier SunCom, and the move gives Cingular presence in the top 100 U.S. markets. The operator also brought 44 SunCom retail outlets under its wing, converting them to Cingular walk-in stores and plans “significant network enhancements” in the region.
“Our goal is to roll out products and services that offer quality and value never before seen in this area,” said Bob Puglielli, vice president and general manager of Cingular in Virginia and West Virginia. “That means compelling rate plans, expanded wireless coverage and the latest in cutting-edge wireless devices.”
