Accenture, SAP and HP collaborate on business insight solution

Accenture, Hewlett-Packard’s enterprise group and SAP’s American subsidiary are collaborating on assisting companies in full deployment of SAP’s in-memory database platform, HANA.
The three companies “will provide integrated solution-as-a-service and additional managed services leveraging real-time business insight provided by SAP HANA,” with the goal of accelerating HANA adoption across various verticals.
The three companies said that the new solution would help companies which have already purchased HANA, but haven’t deployed it yet, or haven’t fully utilized their licenses. Accenture will provide implementation and managed services, HP will contribute its infrastructure services tailored for HANA and enterprise, and SAP will maintain the product support for HANA.
Stock analysis service Tefis called the collaboration “a win-win scenario, both for the participants and for customers unfamiliar with this new technology.”
“The partnership with Accenture is crucial for SAP, given Accenture’s deep operational expertise in the technology domain. Prior to the partnership on SAP HANA, both Accenture and SAP teamed up to launch a new business solutions group focused on jointly developing and delivering industry-specific solutions based on cloud and other digital technologies,” Tefis noted.
“Increasingly, organizations are looking to streamline their IT infrastructure by shifting their focus from integrating hardware, software and services, to adopting complete systems that can be quickly ordered and deployed to achieve business results faster,” said Nariman Teymourian, SVP of Global Enterprise Solutions for HP.
Kevin Ichhpurani, SVP and head of Corporate Business Development and Strategic Ecosystem for SAP, described the solution as “a more simplified approach that can include required technology and services without the capital expense of traditional deployment.”
