Ericsson ups CDMA profile with contracts

STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson improved its CDMA profile with two contracts, one for CDMA2000 1x and the other for CDMA2000 450 MHz technology.

The vendor said it has signed frame agreements to supply and test CDMA2000 450 MHz terminals with handset makers AnyDATA, Axesstel and Ubiquam.

The companies also agreed to develop, test and customize products “as particular opportunities arise.”

The companies said testing and features will include fixed wireless for 1x and 1x EV-DO, and push-to-talk capability among others.

The second contract was with Shyam Telecom in India for a 1x wireless infrastructure solution in India’s Rajasthan circle. The contract includes core and radio network equipment as well as professional services like training, network rollout and technical support.

No dollar amount was disclosed for either deal.
