MELBOURNE, Fla.-AirNet Communications Corp. said it has unveiled its next-generation software defined radio product architecture for large GSM operators with limited amounts of spectrum.
The product, known as IntelliBSS, is an Internet Protocol-based architecture consisting of an adaptive array integrated base station system, a signaling manager and a media gateway, said the company.
“With increased utilization of voice and high-speed data services, wireless operators are facing the serious issue of how to make the most of their existing spectrum,” said Glenn Ehley, president for AirNet, adding the new product addresses the challenge.
