In-Fusio buys Mobile Scope

LOS ANGELES-In-Fusio continued its aggressive expansion with the acquisition of fellow European game publisher Mobile Scope, the company said Monday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The buyout marks the second in about a week for In-Fusio, a France-based publisher specializing in connected gaming. Last week, the company announced that it had acquired California-based publisher Thumbworks in an effort to better tap the U.S. market.

With the move, In-Fusio adds to its portfolio with Mobile Scope’s licensed titles from films including “Die Hard” and “Ice Age.” The combined company has 230 employees in Europe, Asia and the United States.

“Being part of the In-Fusio group and having access to its technologically advanced resources and high-quality platforms, will allow us to realize our vision of publishing games for mobile devices on an even broader scale,” said Jurgen Goeldner, former head of Mobile Scope who was named In-Fusio’s vice president of publishing. “This transaction highlights our dedication to growth and augmentation of products and services as the two combined companies maintain the group’s leading position in the global entertainment market.”
