RESTON, Va.-Mobile satellite communications provider Mobile Satellite Ventures announced a new rate plan program and a push-to-talk handset, both aimed at satisfying the needs of the public-safety and first-responder markets.
The company said the new PTT handset is compatible with existing customer equipment and allows public-safety customers to integrate satellite communications into their emergency management operations. The new rate plan offers fixed annual service costs and a bonus allocation of voice minutes for dispatch radio service PTT. MSV said the plan addresses the fixed budget cycles of government agencies.
