Accedian Networks, high performance service assurance solutions provider for carrier ethernet mobile backhaul networks, announces that Mr. George Riedel has agreed to join Accedian Networks’ board of directors and serve as its chairman. Prior to joining Nortel, Riedel was vice president, strategy and corporate development for Juniper Networks. O3b Networks announced today that it has appointed Steve Collar as chief executive officer. Mr. Collar succeeds Mark Rigolle after the completion of O3b’s latest financing round in November 2010. The Wholesale Applications Community (WAC), an alliance of telecommunications companies committed to building an open applications platform, announced that 10 additional organisations from across the mobile ecosystem have joined the initiative, taking membership levels to 68 companies. Adobe, Amdocs, Eyeline, HP, IBM, Minigate, Neustar, Panasonic, SAP and SanDisk have all joined WAC, enabling them to access the materials and support required to launch WAC products.
