AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands-Axalto launched a subscriber identity module-based application that turns wireless handsets into remote controls for PC applications.
SIMClick allows users to control slide presentations, open and close applications, power their PCs on and off or put them in sleep mode. Users can program which key they want to assign to a particular action. The solution provides a wider range of movement than an infrared mouse, said Axalto.
Subscribers can buy the product at any of their carriers’ points of sale. The kit includes the SIMClick applet for the subscriber SIM card, a CD with the PC SIMClick software and a Bluetooth USB adaptor.
