SAN FRANCISCO-WideRay Corp., which makes a platform for proximity services, said Carrier Devices has selected it to provide a content provisioning system for its i-mate service.
Carrier Devices licensed WideRay’s platform for delivering content and applications to end users who own Bluetooth-capable i-mate devices, specifically its Club i-mate service. Club i-mate provides consumer-friendly content including ring tones, games and device support information.
The first phase of the agreement calls for Carrier Devices to place WideRay’s Jack Service Points at several venues, including the GITEX Information Technology Conference in Dubai, as well as several retail locations in Australia beginning this month.<
