SUNNYVALE, Calif.-PalmSource Inc. announced that GSPDA, Inventec Appliances Corp. and Portable Innovation Technology Ltd. have licensed the Palm operating system through the PalmSource original design manufacturer program to design and develop Palm Powered smart mobile devices.
By participating in the ODM program, the three companies will have access to the Palm OS Product Development Kit for researching, designing and developing Palm Powered mobile devices running either Palm OS Cobalt or Palm OS Garnet. The companies then can assist Palm OS original equipment manufacturer licensees in more efficiently and more quickly getting Palm Powered mobile devices to market.
