The Guadalajara center will provide services across the Americas region
ORLANDO – Amdocs expects to officially inaugurate a new global services center in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, next month, the company’s regional marketing director for Latin America, Manuel Briseño, told RCR Wireless News.
The executive said that the new facility will provide services to Amdocs’ customer across the entire Americas region. Briseño said that the company decided to install the new center in Guadalajara due to the high quality of human resources in the IT sector and due to the proximity to the U.S.
The Amdocs Guadalajara center will offer a full range of offerings in a managed services model, including systems integration, application development, operation and maintenance, testing and training.
Amdocs already operates a center in the city of Sao Carlos, in Brazil.
The executive also said that the company is seeing increasing opportunities for the firm’s mobile financial services across the region.
“In Latin America, we are already operating in the mobile financial services with some agreements with local telecoms operators but we are also seeing opportunities with financial institutions and governments,” he said. However, Briseño said that the opportunities in each country may vary taking into account regulatory requirements. The executive added that Mexico, Brazil and the Andean countries are the most important markets for Amdocs in terms of future opportunities in this segment.
Amdocs’ VP for customer insight and strategy, Vincent Rousselet previously told RCR Wireless News that the company was seeing growth opportunities in certain Latin American countries such as Brazil and Argentina.
According to the company’s latest financial report, revenues from the so-called “rest of the world” regions, including Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East and Africa accounted for 23.4% of Amdocs’ overall revenues in fiscal Q1 2016, compared to 19.9% in the previous quarter.
Amdocs focuses on the development of customer experience software solutions and services for the communications, entertainment and media service providers.
