Huawei selected a test solution from Rohde & Schwarz based on the R&S SMW200A vector signal generator and the R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyzer to perform narrowband “internet of things” base station tests in line with the Release 13 Cat-NB1 technology standard.
Huawei is using the test solution for its evolved radio access network 12.0 wireless platform in compliance with Third Generation Partnership Project’s TS 36.141. The air interface performance test includes 52 test cases covering power, spectrum emission, receiver sensitivity and coverage capability.

ZTE to produce electric vehicles by the end of 2017
ZTE plans to start producing electric vehicles by the end of next year, with an annual output of 30,000 units, Chinese press reported.
In July, ZTE acquired Zhuhai Guangtong in an attempt to enter the electric vehicle industry, concentrating on R&D, design and manufacturing of electric vehicles, and the application of connected cars, big data, autonomous driving and cloud centers.
“ZTE has already mastered key technologies in wireless charging, connected cars and autonomous driving. We are now mainly manufacturing electric buses and planning to launch the R&D and apply for a license for passenger vehicles next year,” the China Post quoted a source at ZTE Smart Auto as saying.
ZTE’s Smart Auto division has already developed several vehicle models, including luxury coaches, double-decker buses, tourist buses and city express buses, according to the report. The main export markets for the vehicles are Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Israel, Thailand and Vietnam.
