$200 Samsung FlipShot lands at VZW

The FlipShot, a new Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. phone at Verizon Wireless, sports a 3-megapixel camera and a swivel-out screen and lands at the higher end of Verizon Wireless’ portfolio at $200 with two-year contract.
The handset is a dual-band phone using Verizon Wireless’ CDMA1x 2000 EV-DO network.
With “Black Friday” two days away, the FlipShot comes in under the wire for holiday sales, and joins a number of other holiday phones at Verizon Wireless and elsewhere.
The Samsung FlipShot, apparently named for its two-way, flip-and-swivel hinge, appears to be the product refresh for Samsung’s SCH-a990, which had until recently held down the high-end of Samsung’s offerings at Verizon Wireless.
Samsung touts the gadget’s camera resolution, swivel screen, stereo Bluetooth and a “TV Out” option that allows one to put up pictures and videos from the phone onto a television screen.
