Zingy signs deal with 50 Cent for mobile content

NEW YORK-Rapper 50 Cent signed with mobile-content company Zingy to provide ring tones, voicemail greetings and images featuring the recording artist.

“It was a natural extension for us to partner with 50 Cent to build on that success with mobile voice and image content,” said Zingy Chief Operating Officer Andy Volanakis. Under terms of the contract, Zingy will be the exclusive distributor for such content featuring the hip-hop performer.

The applications initially will be available on AOL, Boost Mobile, MTV, Nextel Communications Inc., Sprint PCS, T-Mobile USA Inc. and Zingy.com. Additional outlets for the service will be added within a year.
