The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
–Bluestreak: Iris Capital led a $20 million Series D financing round into Bluestreak Technology Inc., developer of the MachBlue platform for mobile phones and digital television. Also participating in the funding round were Solidarity Fund QFL, BDC Venture Capital, First Capital Group and Tomorrow Group. Proceeds of the round will be used to expand development of the company’s platform and to further consolidate its presence in Europe and Asia.
–fix8: Vickers Financial Group invested $3 million into fix8, a division of Mobinex Inc., as part of the company’s Series 1A financing round. Fix8 combines real-time interactive video creation and user-generated content into one application.
–M3 Technology: Frontier Capital invested $6.5 million into M3 Technology Group. The company said it will use the expansion funding for new product development, growth of its professional and enterprise services teams and to increase direct sales and channel marketing activities.
–Mobivox: IDG Ventures Boston led an $11 million Series A round of venture capital funding into Mobivox. Also participating in the funding were IDG Ventures China, IDG Ventures Vietnam, Brightspark Ventures and Skypoint Capital Corp. The company said it will use the funding to grow its worldwide presence. David Aronoff, general partner of IDG Ventures Boston, will join Mobivox’s board of directors in connection with the funding.
–TokBox: Sequoia Capital and a group of angel investors invested $4 million into TokBox during its Series A funding round. The company provides a product that allows consumers to make video calls for free.
