The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
–Catalyst Mobile: Sofinnova Ventures led a $10 million Series B funding round into Catalyst Mobile, which provides next-generation mobile music and entertainment services. DCM also participated in the round. The company said it has raised $14.5 million to date.
–Send Word Now: Southpaw Asset Management led an $8.5 million Series C round of financing into Send Word Now, which provides on-demand alerting and response services. Existing investor Ascend Venture Group also participated in the funding round. The company said it will use the funds to expand business operations. Southpaw’s Michael Axon will join the company’s board of directors in connection with the financing.
