Alan Bergstein has been named publisher and editorial director of RCR Wireless News. Bergstein, who was previously president-publisher of IDG’s Bio-IT World, is set to join RCR Wireless News Oct. 1.
Bergstein is a senior media executive with more than 25 years of successful experience and significant accomplishments at several of the publishing industry’s foremost companies, including IDG, CMP and Reed Elsevier/Cahners.
“We’re thrilled to have Alan join the Crain Communications team,” said Keith Crain, chairman of Crain Communications. “Alan’s experience in high-tech publishing, both in print and online, will drive RCR’s growth in today’s dynamic wireless space.”
Bergstein has a bachelor of science degree in communications, with majors in advertising and marketing, from Boston University and has studied at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
