AirNet receives $3M in purchase orders

MELBOURNE, Fla.-AirNet Communications said it has received $3 million in new purchase orders for its software-defined base stations.

The products, which include the AdaptaCell 4000 base stations and the AirSite 3000 Backhaul Free base stations, will be resold by an original equipment manufacturer reseller to a major North American carrier with approximately 1.7 million subscribers.

“Receiving our first North American large operator is a defining moment for AirNet,” said Glenn Ehley, president and chief executive officer of the company.
