UTStarcom opens facilities in India, Mexico

ALAMEDA, Calif.-UTStarcom said it has established new service and support centers for its service provider customers in India and Mexico.

These centers build on the company’s International Professional Service organization, which the company gained from its acquisition of Comm Works in May 2003, said UTStarcom.

The centers will be located in Gurgaon, India, and Mexico City.

“The opening of these new escalation facilities enables UTStarcom to quickly take on projects in these rapidly growing regions of the world, which we believe will become significant markets for UTStarcom,” said Steve Shaffer, vice president of UTStarcom’s IPS group.
