i2Telecom product to allow cellular calls via VoIP

BOCA RATON, Fla.-i2Telecom International Inc. has developed a patent-pending technology that allows cellular bridging to Voice-over-Internet Protocol networks.

The solution allows cellular customers to make national and international calls on their current cell phones via VoIP, resulting in dramatic cost savings. According to i2Telecom, calls to China, which average $4.20 per minute with major mobile carriers, cost 5 cents per minute with i2Telecom’s solution. Calls to places like India, Iraq, Mexico City and the United Kingdom offer similar savings.

“Anyone with a cell phone can now take the power of our VoIP solutions with them and realize dramatic savings when making business and personal calls from anywhere to anywhere in the world,” explained Rick Scherle, senior vice president of marketing for the company. “This truly changes the landscape of the VoIP marketplace.”
