Sprint PCS launches new ad campaign

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Sprint Corp. will unveil a new advertising campaign Monday that the telecommunications provider said “demonstrates a fundamental shift in how customers will experience wireless.” The campaign, which was created by Publicis & Hal Riney of San Francisco, includes 60- and 30-second television spots, 60-second radio spots, and national and local print and magazine advertisements.

The initial advertisements will feature the carrier’s recently launched Fair & Flexible Plan and its New For You Upgrade Program that provides existing customers with the same handset subsidies as new customers every 18 months. Future advertisements will tout Sprint PCS’ Video Mail, Picture Mail, Ready Link and new multimedia application offerings.

“These ads will show customers that we get the picture-wireless has to change for the better,” said Tim Kelly, senior vice president of marketing for Sprint Consumer Solutions.
