MUNICH, Germany-Hewlett-Packard and BMW joined forces this week at HP’s ENSA@work event in Munich to unveil a car equipped with its own 802.11-based wireless local area network, according to reports from there.
The car is aimed at high-powered executives likely to do business while being chauffeured. It includes a printer and notebook PC in the back seat that can be folded into the armrest when not in use.
HP reportedly said that in the future such a model could be used for other applications, including emergency services and sales forces.
Pricing information has not yet been made available.
