WASHINGTON-The Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association’s board of directors agreed to move forward with plans to pursue a new ad campaign, but no decisions were made on timeline, budget or direction of the outreach effort.
At CTIA’s annual conference last month, the board said it wanted to review more information before making any final decisions.
Earlier this month, Advertising Age, a sister publication of RCR Wireless News, reported CTIA was preparing to search for an ad agency and that the association intended to address government regulations and taxation as part of the upcoming ad campaign.
In recent years, CTIA advertising has focused on distracted driving and federal mandates.
