WPCS to acquire Heinz for $1 million

EXTON, Pa.-WPCS International Inc., which offers project engineering services for specialty communication systems, Wi-Fi and fixed-wireless applications, announced it plans to acquire wireless infrastructure provider Heinz Corp. for $1 million in cash and stock.

“Our company has reached a point where we need to expand our capability and create growth opportunities for our employees on a national scale,” said Jim Heinz, chief executive officer of Heinz. “Through this transaction with WPCS, Heinz Corp. will now have the financial resources and the engineering depth to generate additional growth from our existing customers and be in a position to pursue new opportunities with the assistance from other WPCS subsidiaries.”

“Also, we have the trained and certified engineers that can assist WPCS immediately with their extensive backlog of business,” added Heinz. “We have been impressed with the successful business strategy at WPCS and the organization’s commitment to service excellence in the wireless infrastructure market.”

Following the transaction, WPCS will have approximately 175 employees and nine offices in the United States.
