ATLANTA-Siemens Information and Communication Mobile Group said it plans to develop a complete solution for WiMAX radio networks, which will be available in the second half of next year.
The solution will include base stations based on the IEEE 802.16d standard for fixed wireless broadband as well as integration and service offerings. Siemens is working together with Intel on development of WiMAX base-station infrastructure equipment and end-users subscriber station devices.
