CANNES, France-Alcatel scored several new mobile video deals, including an agreement with Hutchison 3G Austria for its video gateway product.
Alcatel said it will offer video-streaming services for Hutchison 3G in Austria, as well as video telephony services between mobile subscribers and correspondents using a PC over a fixed network connection.
“By partnering with some of the most innovative companies, 3 is delivering a superior experience to its customers,” said Jan Trionow, engineering director of Hutchison 3G Austria. “By working with Alcatel, we will be able to offer our Austrian customers high-quality, easy-to-use video services on their 3VideoMobile.”
Separately, Alcatel recorded content deals with Universal Mobile, the mobile entertainment services subsidiary of Universal Music International, and Eurosport.
