M1 disruption caused by faulty card

SINGAPORE – The service disruption experienced on Wednesday by a number of M1 mobile users, who were unable to make phone calls or send SMSes for most of the day, has been traced to a faulty card in one of the operator’s back-end systems.

In a statement released yesterday, M1 said there had been a technical issue with one of its customer management servers.
