Longs Drugs to distribute Kajeet services

Tween-focused mobile virtual network operator kajeet Inc. added more than 400 Longs Drugs stores as points of distribution for its pay-as-you-go wireless service.
The Longs Drugs stores are located in California, Nevada and Hawaii. Kajeet will offer the LG Electronics Co. Ltd. LX150 handset at Longs Drugs, with a suggested retail price of $50, as well as top-up cards.
The MVNO has deals with Limited Too stores and Best Buy, and also sells its wares online.
Christ Storbeck, senior VP of sales for kajeet, said that the company strives to serve kids and families, and “those same families rely on local drugstores like Longs Drugs when they shop for practical items, necessities and gifts. This relationship now delivers the kajeet service to those very neighborhoods where kids and parents are discussing the role that mobile technology plays in their families’ lives.”
