AUSTIN-Mike Tyson, former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, will visit the SXSW Interactive Festival from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 13 at the ScreenBurn Arcade located on level one, exhibit hall two in the Austin Convention Center at 500 East Cesar Chavez Street.
Tyson will be there to promote Rock Software’s new game, “Mike Tyson’s Main Event,” which will be sold on the iPhone and iTouch on March 15. The game appears similar in format to Nintendo’s hit game “Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!,” which was released more than 23 years ago.
In lieu of representing “Little Mac” from Punch-Out!!, gamers will play as “Little Sammy” and be charged with the task of eliminating 10 boxers before having the opportunity to face Tyson. The game is reported to sell for $0.99.
