A variety of online retailers are offering seat-belt covers that incorporate a pocket to hold mobile phones and headsets. Amazon.com offers the Vizion Seat Belt Cover With Cell Phone Holder for $5. The product also is touted to protect the neck from being scraped by the seat belt.
A Boost for volunteering
Marketing firm Cornerstone said it has been chosen to promote Boost Mobile RockCorps, a partnership between Boost Mobile and RockCorps that promotes volunteer programs. Cornerstone said it plans to use local tour stop concert events to promote BMRC, as well as local marketing campaigns, online programs and radio partnerships. Marketing will begin in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York, with 10 additional cities expected to be announced soon.
Vcast behind the scenes
Verizon Wireless is offering its Vcast customers the chance to go behind the scenes at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy Beverly Hills extravaganza. The carrier will provide live footage of the event and will include both musical performances and behind-the-scenes shots. Verizon said live footage will be captured with Vcast phones. The event takes place the night before the Grammy Awards and is attended by a variety of celebrities.
Snoop Dogg rolls out Blue Carpet
Virgin Mobile USA has added rapper Snoop Dogg to its First Dibs ringtone program, offering its customers ringtones from Snoop Dog’s latest album, Tha Blue Carpet. Virgin Mobile customers will have exclusive access to three instrumental ringtones from the album. In addition, the carrier is offering Snoop Dogg content including 20 ringtones from the album, eight voice tones and catalog ringtones from previous albums.
