Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) has announced its HP TouchPad tablet will be available in 16GB flavor for $500 and $600 for 32GB beginning June 19.
The WebOS tablet will be available from U.S retailers as well as directly from HP, while AT&T is said to be introducing a connected 3G version later this summer.
Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, Walmart, Sam’s Club, OfficeMax, Amazon.com, Fry’s, Microcenter, other leading local and regional retailers will all have the tablets gracing their shelves this month.
HP says it believes its TouchPad will bring next-level multitasking to the world of the tablet, along with popular Beats Audio technology, and compatibility with webOS phones.
Those not keen on touchscreens can also pick up a dedicated HP TouchPad Wireless Keyboard for the device.
