STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson said it won a third-generation expansion contract with Taiwanese mobile operator FarEasTone Telecommunications as its sole supplier for a W-CDMA network.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
The 3G agreement comprises a W-CDMA radio access network, core network and a portfolio of professional services for Yuen-Ze Telecommunications, a FarEasTone subsidiary. Multi-vendor terminal verification services for 3G handsets are also included.
The expansion will begin immediately.
